THE MOUNTAIN THAT LAUGHED

“How high am I little man?
I guess you know just where I stand!
It makes me laugh that you think you’re big!
Why to me you’re just like a little bitty fig!
I’ve been here for millions of years!
Why you’re lucky if you last one hundred years!
But when you climb me and get to the top,
I’ll have to admit that you sure aren’t a flop.
I know that you’re doing the best that you can.
So why don’t you stand up and act like a man!”

THE DADDY CAT

“I lead a very daddy life
with my kittens and my very catty wife.
She licks them and cleans all their fur.
And that is when they all begin to purr.
But when they try to drink milk from a pan,
they fall in and have to be cleaned again.”

THE TALL BUILDING

There is a building in our town
that stretches all the way to the moon.
But when will the moon knock it over?
The answer I'm afraid is soon.

THE FROG CLOWN. THE FROGGY QUEEN.

“A fine fellow am I is my belief.
I say ‘Kachug’ as I sit on a leaf.
And when I am not sitting down,
then you’ll see me just jumping around.
How nice it is to be a frog
and sit on a log here in the bog!
And I’d say I’m a very funny clown!
Just watch me jumping up and down!

"Why Mr. Frog, do you sit on a log
in the middle of a bog, when the air is full of fog?"
"I sit here Kachug for my lunch there's a bug,
and drink cider from a jug,
so I feel warm and snug.
I'm so handsome and green as I call my froggy queen.
We make music all night
till the dawns early light
and we froggy's are really a sight!"

New Poems

Momma tells me to do right
when I do wrong both day and night.
Someday I'll grow up. This will be past.
If I was perfect I'd be Jesus Christ!!!

If in doubt don't.
If I'm not sure I wont.
If I'm not certain it's right or it's wrong,
then that is where I sure don't belong!

How much food can a pelecan?
He can hold as much food as his belly can!

What do shellfish watch at night?
They watch shellavision and it seems so right!
